Celebrating the launch of Powerful Poems by Adam Bojelian
Join us in York for a special celebration of the launch of Powerful Poems, the second collection of poetry by the much-loved young poet Adam Bojelian.
Powerful Poems brings together a collection of poems Adam was commissioned to write during his teenage years. His writing explores a remarkable range of subjects, with the imagination, humour, insight and emotional depth that made Adam’s poetry so distinctive.
Adam was a multi-award-winning young poet, whose achievements included a Brit Writers’ Award and a Gold Blue Peter Badge. His first collection, Playing With Words, introduced many readers to his extraordinary talent and his ability to engage, entertain and move people through his poetry.
This event is more than simply a book launch. It is an opportunity to celebrate Adam’s remarkable writing, remember his creativity and share the poems that meant so much to him and to those who knew and loved his work.
The celebration will include readings from Powerful Poems, including much loved favourites 'Leadership', 'What Good Care Looks Like', 'A Lullaby for a Royal Baby' and 'An Inspirational Verse for Leeds Rhinos'. and the stories behind each poem. There will also be time to meet, chat and celebrate together.
Copies of Powerful Poems will be available to purchase at the event, with proceeds supporting the work of the Adam Bojelian Foundation CIC, established in Adam’s memory to promote healthcare law and ethics, communication and literacy.
Whether you knew Adam, have read his poetry before, or are discovering his work for the first time, we would love you to join us for this very special celebration of a remarkable young poet and his enduring words.
Come and celebrate Adam, his poetry and the launch of Powerful Poems.
