View all →About This Event
Come and have a walk and natter about all things menopause. No experience necessary!! It is open to all. For this walk, we will meet at The Mitre pub on Shipton Road before heading off for a wander over Rawcliffe Ings. The route I'm planning is about an hour and a half walk but we can shorten this if necessary. After the walk, for those who wish to, we are booked for Sunday lunch at The Mitre. They have a lovely carvery on a Sunday. I do need to know numbers for the carvery so please can you message me on 07871 183939 by 13 September, if you are wanting to come. Along with any dietary requirements. Please note that the route is not checked and people come at their own risk. I take no responsibility for any loss of personal belongings or injury if it occurs. We walk at a pace to suit all. There is also a FB page for the group so please do feel free to sign up. Everything is advertised on there. Hopefully see you there. Kirsty x Why this group? Two of the things that can be so helpful for menopause is talking to others and movement. A walk can help your wellbeing as it can release 'feel good' hormones and is a great way to get us moving and off the sofa, which is brilliant, especially at this time of life. I have set up this group to offer people the opportunity to meet others, have a good old natter (another feel good thing), share experiences and hopefully, have a proper good laugh (blimey, another feel good thing) 😀. Whether you are experiencing menopause symptoms and want to chat to others or just want to find out more, you are welcome to come along. No age or gender restrictions either, in fact I would love to have some men come along. We need our allies and support network to understand it too!💖
