A 6 week course providing a safe space for parents/carers to share experiences and gain helpful strategies to support children with Autism

Family life is a rollercoaster of highs and lows. Add Autism into the mix and life can feel even more chaotic and unpredicatble. If you're a parent/carer of a child with an Autism diagnosis, or whose child presents with Autistic behaviours, you'll know that a lot of traditional parenting advice just doesn’t ‘cut it’; potentially leaving you feeling isolated and frustrated. This course gives you the chance to meet with other parents in a similar position, to share ideas and be encouraged that you’re not alone. We will cover topics such as social & sensory challenges; ways to support anxiety; imrpoving communication; strategies to manage difficult behaviour; special interests; the positives of Autism and the impacts of your child’s additional needs on your whole family.

This course is open to ALL parents/carers, across the city, who have children presenting with ASC.
