Forest Therapy invites us to slow down, quieten the mind and reconnect with our sense of wonder and awe. Its benefits include stress relief, mental clarity and increased emotional resilience.
The garden in its current position dates back to the 19th century, with sections of its layout remaining unchanged from the start of the 1900s.
The session ends with a cup of herbal tea from Henrietta's Tearoom.
Please bring with you on the day:
• Suitable clothing for the weather conditions. You will be both sitting and exploring slowly, please bear this in mind, and bring extra layers if you tend to feel cold easily.
• If there is any chance of rain, please bring waterproof clothing. Waterproofs can also help keep you warm if there is a cool breeze. You are welcome to bring an umbrella too.
• Please bring something to sit on, such as a sit mat, bag, picnic rug, cushion, camping chair or camping stool that you can easily carry.
• As needed, please bring sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent, any medication you may require, and water.
