About This Event

The event "Learnings from North Yell" will take place at the Greyhope Bay Centre in Aberdeen on 15th September 2026. Rosie will reflect on a recent learning exchange with the North Yell Development Council, which is part of the University of Aberdeen’s interdisciplinary research project. The project, titled Listen, highlights collaboration and shared insights in community development. Admission to the event is free.

Greyhope Bay is a partner in University of Aberdeen's project: Listening to North Sea Coastal Communities in Transition: Ecocultural Heritage Between Aberdeen and Shetland.

As part of this project there has been a number of school and public workshops, but more recently, Frances and Rosie from the Greyhope Bay team visited North Yell.

During this session Rosie will share what they got up to, what they learnt and what they heard.

Come along to hear about this project and our recent trip. The cafe is closed on Tuesday, but our lovely volunteers will be serving filter coffee and tea.
