Come and celebrate 10 years of Emker Cel

In 2016 Matt Kassell released his first album under the name Emker Cel (a tribute to the Turkish scientist who discovered that senses, including audio receptors, were genetic). In August that year Matt played a solo set to celebrate the launch of the album in the Art Gene Gallery in Barrow’s Nan Tait Centre. Nearly ten years to the day later, Matt is returning to the Nan Tait to play at The Sea House, in celebration of the release of a new compilation album “Emker Cel Is Ten!”, a singles collection from that first decade.

Matt will be playing two different sets that night: an acoustic duo set to open the evening, followed by a full live band set to close. Expect all the hits as well as the misses, along with surprises and special guest appearances. Copies of the limited edition album on CD will be on sale for the first time on the night.
