Join us for an exclusive afternoon of contemporary outdoor sculpture, live stone carving and indulge in a delicious tea at the iconic Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath!

The afternoon will begin with a curator-led tour of Through the Crescent, our summer sculpture exhibition set within the hotel's private gardens with a range of beuatiful works to enjoy and purchase! Led by curator Ellie Isaacs you'll discover an exceptional selection of sculptures in stone, ceramic, metal and glass by nine celebrated and leading UK Sculptors.

Featured artists include: Hannah Bennett, Sue Jones, Benji Lowsley-Williams, Roberta Mason, Alex Relph, Ian Turnock, Dominic Welch, Neil Wilkin & Zoë Wilson

Following the tour, enjoy a live stone carving demonstration by Hampshire stone carver Zoë Wilson. Using a traditional mallet and chisel, Zoë hand carves intricate geometric sculptures from British stone. Watch as precise geometric forms emerge from solid stone, offering a rare insight into the patience, precision and craftsmanship behind each finished piece.

The afternoon will conclude with a decadent afternoon tea served by The Royal Crescent Hotel. Enjoy an elegant selection of finger sandwiches, pastries, warm scones with clotted cream and preserves, accompanied by a choice of fine teas - the perfect ending to an inspiring afternoon of art, craftsmanship and conversation!

Live Stone Carving Demonstration

Watch exhibiting sculptor Zoë Wilson transform British stone using traditional hand-carving techniques while sharing insights into her practice.
