About This Event

The Hengistbury Head + Sopley Farm event will be held on August 15, 2026, at 10:00 at the Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre in Bournemouth. The event is a wellness activity with various performers. Admission to the event is free.

A relaxed coastal stroll at Hengistbury Head, combining a seaside walk, beach picnic, Pilates and berry picking at Sopley Farm.

Join Sunday Culture for a coastal day at Hengistbury Head, with the option to extend the experience at Sopley Farm.

The day will begin with travel from London Waterloo to Christchurch Station, followed by a short bus journey from Christchurch to Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre, BH6 4EN, which takes approximately 15 minutes.

From there, guests will take part in a guided coastal hike around Hengistbury Head. The route is approximately 3.6 miles and easy in difficulty, making it a relaxed way to enjoy the coastline.

After the hike, guests will gather for a beach picnic and Pilates session.

There is also the option to add on a visit to Sopley Farm, located approximately 10 to 15 minutes away by taxi or coach. Estimated transfer costs are approximately £8 to £12pp, depending on vehicle type. At Sopley Farm, guests can enjoy strawberry picking or a farm experience, followed by time at the farm shop for coffee, a bakery stop and social time before departure.
