Learn new skills, set goals and connect with others through creative writing for wellbeing at The Hollies.
Getting out, taking part in an activity, learning new skills, setting goals, and connecting with other people are steps the NHS recognise as leading towards improved mental health.
Join Matt West, a local poet and writer, on Monday afternoons between 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, and take some of these steps through creative writing for wellbeing.
The group will explore poems and prose focusing on the Eight Pillars of Joy and Happiness (perspective, humour, acceptance, compassion, forgiveness, humility, gratitude, and generosity) and we'll see how to welcome more of these positives into our lives through prompts and exercises suitable for anyone to follow. We’ll connect with one-another through optional sharing of our responses in a kind and supportive environment welcoming of all.
Suitable for all - including those who don’t think of themselves as writers (yet).
