The Lava Love Mayan Cacao Ceremony is held at Stanmer Park in Brighton. The ceremony is led by Guatemalan wisdom carriers Nana Isabel and Tata Izaias. Tickets cost £50.00.

An extraordinary opportunity to be in ceremony with Guatemalan Wisdom Carrier’s Nana Izabel & Tata Izaias.

Please arrive at the play park entrance opposite the cafe at the main entrance of Stanmer Park by 12.30pm where we will walk together to the site of the fallen tree.

This ia an afternoon to receive ceremonial cacao as medicine straight from the heart land of Guatemala. A very special ceremony as we welcome Cacao Love founders and Wisdom Carriers Nana Izabel and Tata Izaias.

What to Expect at the Cacao Ceremony

Experience an ancestral journey through sacred prayers, traditional songs, and the wisdom of ceremonial cacao. Throughout the ceremony, you will learn about the myths, legends, history, and spiritual purpose of cacao as a sacred medicine in the Mayan tradition.

You will also be introduced to the foundations of Mayan Cosmology and the Sacred Calendars, while listening to the stories of the Nahuales the sacred day energies that guide and reflect different aspects of life. Through these teachings and storytelling, we weave together a path of self-discovery, healing, forgiveness, acceptance, and reconnection with ourselves, our ancestors, and the living spirit of nature.

What to Bring

Comfortable clothing suitable for sitting and moving with ease.

If the weather is cold, bring extra layers to stay warm.

A reusable water bottle.

The ceremony is outdoors, so bring a hat or scarf for sun protection.

A yoga mat, something to sit on, blanket.

A light snack or food to share with the group after the ceremony, if you wish.

Before the Ceremony

Avoid drinking large amounts of coffee on the morning of the ceremony, as it may interfere with your experience of cacao.

Please arrive having eaten a light meal about 1–2 hours beforehand. Do not come on an empty stomach or immediately after a heavy meal.

If you are taking antidepressant medication, have a heart condition, or are pregnant (especially during the first three months), please let us know before the ceremony so we can determine whether ceremonial cacao is appropriate for you and, if so, the amount that can be safely served.

No alcohol or drugs a day before and neither after.

Practicals

This is ceremony and we will be sharing prayers and intentions around the sacred altar. Please do not step over or on the altar.

Dress for ceremony respectfully and comfortably.

Feel welcomed to bring offerings for the altar like flowers, seeds and candles for instance. You are also invited to bring any significant objects to place on the altar to be charged and taken home afterwards.

Bring a note book in case you would like to record any reflections and insights.

Dont forget your special cup for Cacao. Be thoughtful with what you would like to drink from and what it represents. Let it hold meaning for you.

You will be drinking organic, ceremonial cacao ethically sourced from Guatemala. Ceremonial Cacao in her pure form like this is full of super nutrients, antioxidants and minerals.

Ceremonial Cacao does contain around 0.2% caffeine which equates to about 6-10mg per cup. Ceremonial Cacao also contains an amazing amount of healthy fat, around 50% which means the small amount of caffeine it contains is released differently into the bloodstream. Much more slowly.

If you are caffeine sensitive or are taking any medications that could be affected, you can drink just half a cup. Please reach out to clarify or check with your physician if needed.

Please no phones during the ceremony. Pictures can be taken at the beginning before we start and after we have finished. Please switch off your phone during the ceremony. We will have a professional photographer respectfully taking photos during the event, if you prefer not to be included in these, please let us know.

Please allow enough time to arrive at the meeting point, unless you know your way to the fallen tree spot. Please make sure you have time afterwards also so as not to leave immediately.

Through a dream in his teenagerhood he was guided to look for “the lost path”, a local spiritual practice, which led him to find out his grandfather was a Shaman.

Izaias had to wait until he was ready and after years of search for his path and purpose, and being strongly called to work serving as a Shaman, he was invited to a ceremony to join the elder circles. He found out more about his grandfather story and how he was meant to become a healer, however having to meet the requirements: getting married.

At the age of 21 he married to Izabel, his wife and mother of their 2 children, Jason and Leo, and only then he was initiated in the path of the Fire Shaman. Since
