Bring your favourite worn-out clothes and learn some cool tricks to fix them up at Brighton Community Workshop
Join us at the Brighton Community Workshop Project for a fun and relaxed session on clothes mending and repair on the first Wednesday of every month.
Do you have a pile - large or small - of clothes that you keep on meaning to mend? We are here to help you bring your socks and tops back to life.
Enjoy good company and skill sharing to revitalise your wardrobe. Whether you're a beginner or just want to pick up a few tricks, this is the perfect chance to get creative and sustainable. The emphasis is on hand stiching - from darning to sashiko - anything with a needle and thread. No clothing is too small or too big to be repaired. Bring yourself and your clothes along!
Donation on the door - suggested £5.
Tea and coffee available. Some sewing materials provided.
Please note that the toilet is downstairs in the basement and is not accessible. And parking in the area can be tough.
For those who are interested, there are regular sewing maching classes at BCW on Mondays.
