The Engage, Educate, Empower 2027 - Data Protection Conference will occur on 11 February 2027 at We The Curious in Bristol. The conference will centre around data protection, AI, and information security, providing opportunities for learning and networking. Attendance is free.
Join us for an exciting and insightful conference centred around data protection, AI and information security. Learn, network, and enjoy!
We’re back! After the success of our 2026 conference, Engage, Educate, Empower 2027 is set to be even bigger.
This year, we want to focus on the issues that data protection professionals are actually dealing with.
The difficult decisions. The grey areas. The situations where there isn’t always a perfect answer.
EEE has never been about sitting in a room and being talked at all day. We want people to get involved, share experiences, challenge ideas and learn from each other.
There will be practical sessions, real scenarios and discussions designed to help you leave with ideas, approaches and plans that you can actually take back into your organisation.
And just as importantly, EEE is friendly.
It’s a room full of people who understand the challenges of working in privacy and information governance, who are willing to share what works, talk about what doesn’t, and help each other.
Learn something. Meet people. Ask questions. Take something useful away.
Drinks Event - Night Before (Location to be confirmed):
From 6.30pm to 8.30pm, join the DPAS team, our speakers and sponsors for an informal drinks reception ahead of the conference.
It’s a chance to meet other attendees, make new connections and get to know people before the main event the following day.
If you’d like to join us, please confirm your attendance when registering for the conference.
The Agenda - Conference Day (Subject to change):
We’ll be exploring topics including:
• When personal data becomes a weapon, looking at domestic abuse, stalking and privacy
• How to recognise, understand, assess and communicate risk
• The SAR pressure cooker and how tools, technology and good judgement can help
• AI assistants acting on our behalf and the question of who remains accountable
• Protecting children online without putting everyone under surveillance
More details coming soon.

Read what some of last year's attendees had to say:
”It was inspiring - helping to remind me about why what we do as privacy professionals is important. It also gave me some practical ideas to help drive privacy awareness in the business.”
Gayle, Dryrobe
"Everything! First time I've attended and would definitely attend again. The venue was great , comfortable and made networking easy. All the speakers were knowledgeable and gave engaging talks. I thought the number of delegates was just right, not too big so made it feel more personal , than the large conferences I have attended in the past.”
Samm, Accent Housing
"I liked how collaborative it was. I felt there were so many supportive colleagues and it helped me feel less isolated in my work and more passionate about what I do.”
Emma, The Brooke
”Engaging speakers; varied, relevant topics; new takes on more longstanding aspects (the DPO's role); a good range of interactive and more traditional talks; kept to time.”
Owen, Walker Crips Investment Management
