With Mae McCourt, a workshop for beginners to learn 3-5 basic stitches, at the Hobbycraft in Bristol on 10 October at 2:00pm.
Suitable for those who have never picked up a needle but want to have a go or those who have just started to stitch. A workshop for beginners to learn 3-5 basic stitches whilst embroidering a simple stylish pattern.
A choice of four patterns will be provided. The workshop will provide confidence to continue to explore after the workshop has ended.
To note:
This event is for those aged 16 and over.
Cancellation and refunds given up to 7 days before the event takes place. No refunds will be given for cancellations under 7 days.
Capacity for this workshop is 5 people.
Required Materials
You will be able to take away fabric, threads and a needle to carry on stitching at home.
Equipment used in the workshop such as hoops, maker pens and scissors will be available to purchase afterwards in store.
You may find it useful to bring a pen and paper to make notes.
Your Tutor
A freelance embroidery instructor based in Bristol, UK, trained at the San Francisco School of Needlework & Design. Mae specialises in online and in-person beginners embroidery classes.
Mae also teaches introductory classes in crewelwork, whitework, blackwork, stump work and needlepoint, as well as workshops in mending and other crafts.
