Following the recent trip to see the wonderful Beverly Buchanan at Spike Island (on until 31 January), on Halloween we'll be heading over to Arnolfini to see their new exhibition of work by Joy Gregory (17 Oct to 7 Feb). The show is a landmark exhibition for Gregory, bringing together more than 150 photographs, films, installations and textile works spanning over 4 decades of her practice. Her work often challenges what's 'expected' of black or feminist art, and works across historic photographic processes, digital media, performance and textiles. It should be a fascinating exhibition and I'd love to have you join us as we explore it together. **Event details:** 12pm: We'll meet at The Architect, right next to the Arnolfini. Please arrive at any point over the hour. 1pm: We'll head into the Arnolfini and congregate in the reception/lobby area before heading around the exhibition and space. 2:15pm: We'll gather at the entrance and head over to King Street nearby to have a drink and a chat about the exhibition. **Before the event:** You'll receive a MeetUp message ahead of the event letting you know on any updates to the event, so make sure you check this before coming along. **What to bring:** A notebook if you want to write down your thoughts. **Preparation:** Extra marks for anyone who does some research on the exhibition. **Etiquette:** As always, if you can't make it just send a message to let me know and take your name off the RSVP list. **Donations:** If you'd like to support the running of the group, you're welcome to support with a cash donation on the day, or use the link below to do a PayPal equivalent.
