A new course exploring the Buddhist path begins at 10:30 on 17 October 2026 at the Sakya Buddhist Centre in Bristol. The accessible course uses the text 'Diamond Sky' and runs over several weeks with weekly sessions that include meditation, content, reflection and conversation. No prior experience or knowledge is necessary to join.
**All welcome** to come along to this new course - you can join at any time and no experience or knowledge is necessary and you can come to as many sessions as you wish. Over the coming weeks, we'll go through an accessible and practical account of the Buddhist path, showing how to move from unhappiness and frustration to a lasting clarity and contentment. You can find out more about 'Diamond Sky', the text we'll be referring to, [here](https://lamajampa.org/books-blog/2023/2/19/diamond-sky-preparing-for-vajrayana). All Buddhist terms will be explained during the course and questions are always welcome. **Session format** Each week we start with some meditation to settle the mind (instructions given) followed by some content and reflection. There is also time for conversation and coffee from 11.30am. **Course instructors** There are four instructors for this course: Adrian, Ed, Emma and Rachel and you can read more about us [here](https://www.sakyabristol.org/about/instructors/). **Course text and attendance** Copies of the course text are available at the Centre but there's no need to have one (unless you wish to!), just come along. Whilst this is a course, you're welcome to attend to any sessions you can make. You may find a notebook handy to remember key points. **Donations** There is no charge for these sessions but we welcome donations, which help us to maintain the Sakya Buddhist Centre and its activities. You can donate [here](https://www.sakyabristol.org/donations/) or at the Centre. If you'd like to take a look at some helpful content, you'll find lots of resources [here](https://www.sakyabristol.org/whats-on/bristol-buddhist-meditation-classes/discover-buddhism-videos-for-meditation-and-reflection/). We look forward to seeing you - comment or message me with any queries - thanks!
