Wellbeing Walks offers a gentle guided experience through the picturesque autumn landscapes of Lyme, including the scenic views from Cage Hill and the serene woodland trails of Elmerhurst Wood. This recurring series takes place in Buxton, with various performers leading the walks. Admission is required to participate.
Join us for a gentle wellbeing walk through some of Lyme's most beautiful autumn landscapes. Taking in the open views from Cage Hill and the peaceful woodland trails of Elmerhurst Wood, this guided walk offers the chance to slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy the seasonal changes of the countryside.
Make sure to bring a pair of binoculars just in case we’re able to spot Lyme’s historic red deer herd grazing and rutting in the landscape.
Each walk is approximately 2 miles (3.2km) and lasts 1.5 hours. These walks are led by volunteers, please note that some of the walks can be challenging and include uneven terrain and ground conditions. Each walk travels a different route through the parkland taking in the wonder of the landscape and seasons.
