Three events being hosted by the CAA to support the CAA Exhibition running from the 21st September to the 14th October 2026.

The Cambridge Association of Architects (CAA) are curating an exhibition titled ‘Hire Local: The Value of Good Design’ and will host a series of targeted events throughout late September and early October. The CAA would like to personally invite you to the following events relevant to you and to meet the local architects exhibiting their work.

With the continual growth of Cambridge from new college buildings, through to new housing, campus, and civic buildings, the CAA believes the only way to create resilient and considered architecture relevant to its context and people, is to first look at those very practices who are living, working, and breathing Cambridge and the surrounding area.

We are fortunate to have local architects and architectural practices, with a wealth of knowledge and experience rooted right here in Cambridge. This exhibition is the first of its kind to showcase the depth and breadth of this incredible work and have an opportunity to speak directly with those architects.

The exhibition and events will be held at The Cambridge Room (Unit 55, The Grafton Centre) from the 21st September through to the 14th October. During the exhibition we will be hosting the following events which will all commence from 6pm with drinks and light food provided. Opening Night: 21st September 2026. This is our opening night with everyone invited. Please use a separate Eventbrite link for this which can be found here (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/caa-exhibition-opening-night-tickets-1996789369757).

College’s & School’s Reception: 28th September 2026. This is aimed for Cambridge College’s,Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin Universities, and Cambridge Schools to meet local architects withrelevant experience.

Developer’s Networking: 5th October 2026. This event is aimed at professional developers in theregion who would like to understand how local architects can add significant value to any newproject.

Resident’s Workshop: 12th October 2026. Our final event is aimed at residents who areconsidering expanding or retrofitting their homes and need advice and to appoint a local architect.
