The Cambridge Climate Café Listening Circle is held at the Mill Road Community Centre. It provides a supportive space for individuals to discuss and reflect on climate issues. Tickets are free.
Supportive space for people to express what they feel and think about climate issues, reflect together and listen to one another.
Join us for tea and cake at one of our regular, Saturday afternoon, in-person events, at Mill Road Community Centre, 6 Hazell Street, Cambridge CB1 2GN.
Talking about climate change is really important - but it is often made more difficult by our feelings of guilt that we are not doing enough, or frustration that others are not doing enough.
So we provide a welcoming, confidential group space where we share thoughts and feelings about climate crisis, nature loss and a rapidly changing planet. We don't necessarily talk about what we should be doing. We talk about our fears and uncertainties in a way that it can be safely expressed.
The sessions are facilitated - so you can be sure that there will be space for you to speak.
They are not designed to recruit you to do anything.
Doors open at 2.45pm and please arrive on time. The session starts at 3.00pm and ends at 4.30pm. Facilitators will be around for 30 min at the end. Please arrive in good time for the start as we close to new arrivals at 3.10pm.
All are welcome, although we cannot accommodate young children attending.
There's no charge - but contributions towards the refreshments would be welcome.
Description supplied by the event organiser.
