The workshop on Letting Go of Insecurity is forthcoming at Friends Meeting House in Canterbury. Organisations will use Buddhist perspectives to develop authentic self-confidence. The event costs between free and £25.
Developing Authentic Self Confidence
Many of us feel, at times, “I am an insecure person.” Yet from a Buddhist perspective, insecurity is not our true nature—it is simply a habit of mind. Beneath it lies a natural confidence and ease that can be uncovered.
In this half-day course, we will explore practical Buddhist insights that help us move beyond the self-doubt and comparison that so often undermine our confidence and happiness. Through clear teachings and guided meditation, we will begin to see how insecurity arises from holding a limited and mistaken view of who we are—and how, by gently loosening this view, we can open the door to greater freedom, confidence, and inner peace.
As we become familiar with a more spacious and compassionate understanding of ourselves, we can let go of the pressure to prove or protect who we think we are, and instead experience a more relaxed, joyful way of relating to both ourselves and others.
Guided by senior Buddhist teacher Chelvi, who brings over 20 years of meditation experience, this course offers a gentle but powerful introduction to an empowering way of thinking and being. Suitable for both beginners and experienced meditators, you will leave with practical tools you can apply immediately in daily life—and a clearer sense of the confidence and peace that are already within you.
