About This Event

The Cardiff Silent Book Club - August meetup is a free event taking place at Coffee Spot in Cardiff on 25 August 2026, where visitors can read quietly and then discuss the books they have read.

A get-together for reading quietly, then chatting about books!

Join us for a reading session at Coffee Spot! You don't need to have a particular book, just whatever you're reading at the moment - fiction or non-fiction. All book formats are welcome.

Please arrive at 5.45pm so you can order your drinks. We'll start at 6.00pm. After a brief introduction we'll read for a hour, then in the second hour we'll chat in small groups about what we've been reading.

Please come in good time so we can get things started promptly at 6.00pm. If you sign up then find you can't make it, please cancel - places are limited!
