About SRAG

SRAG was founded by PeoplePlus just over five years ago to close the gap between employers' good intentions and the recruitment of people with barriers to employment. It now brings together more than 300 employer and specialist partner organisations working to generate social value through inclusive recruitment.

Right now, almost one in six young people aged 16 to 24 in Wales are NEET (not in education, employment or training), a figure that has risen sharply in the last year. Disabled people in Wales face the widest employment gap in Britain, at around 31 percentage points behind non-disabled workers. Workers aged 50 to 64 have the lowest employment rate of any nation or region in England and Wales, at 66.4%. And fewer than half of care leavers manage three consecutive months in work, education or training.

We believe a Welsh coalition of employers, community organisations and decision makers can help change this picture, and we'd welcome your support in helping us build and shape it.

On the evening

Drinks from 7pm, followed by a short address from our Chair, Alun Davies, former Minister and long-standing champion of inclusion. We'll then move into an open discussion on how the network can drive real action on unemployment and economic inactivity, and hear more from the SRAG leadership team about the group's impact so far.
