Noson i lansio llyfrau newydd John Osmond gyda Betsan Powys a Richard Wyn Jones.
Mae’r nofel ddogfen hon yn adrodd stori’r digwyddiadau gwleidyddol a diwylliannol dramatig a ddatblygodd yng Nghymru rhwng 1979 a 1997. Mae’r gyfrol gyntaf, Ten Million Stars are Burning, yn olrhain y stori hyd at refferendwm catastroffig 1979 a’r ail, Soul On Fire, at yr ail refferendwm, llwyddiannus, ond dirdynnol o agos, yn 1997.
Er bod y naratif yn cael ei gynnal gan ddau gymeriad ffuglennol, mae’r bobl eraill y dônt ar eu traws yn bobl go iawn ac mae’r digwyddiadau a ddisgrifir yn hanesyddol gywir. Fel y dywed Jane Aaron, a ysgrifennodd Ragair i Wales 1979 and 1997, ‘It is a very vivid account of that all-important episode in Welsh history – the making of Wales.’

An evening to launch the new books by John Osmond with Betsan Powys and Richard Wyn Jones.
This documentary novel tells the story of the dramatic political and cultural events that unfolded in Wales between 1979 and 1997. The first Volume, Ten Million Stars are Burning, traces the story to the first catastrophic referendum in 1979, and the second, Soul On Fire, to the second, successful but knife-edge referendum in 1997.
Though the narrative is carried by two fictional characters, the other people they encounter are real and the events described are historically accurate. As Jane Aaron, who has written a Foreword for Wales 1979 and 1997, comments, ‘It is a vivid account of that all-important episode in Welsh history – the making of Wales.’
