Capture the Passage of Time — One Frame at a Time
Step into the mesmerising world of time-lapse photography, where motion becomes narrative and the invisible rhythms of light and nature reveal themselves through patience and precision. Whether you’re new to timelapse or looking to refine your technique, this immersive workshop will guide you through every stage, from capture to post-production, unlocking the secrets behind truly cinematic time sequences.
We’ll begin in the field, where you’ll learn to plan and execute a time-lapse sequence with intent and confidence. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of exposure control, interval timing, movement, and composition, learning how to balance technical skill with creative vision. From drifting clouds and tidal shifts to urban energy and fading light, you’ll discover how to visualise motion as a story and how to let time itself paint your frame.
Time-lapse photography demands more than just settings and gear; it’s about anticipation, patience, and rhythm. Together, we’ll explore how to work with changing light, weather, and environmental conditions — capturing transitions that unfold slowly but tell powerful visual stories.
After the field session, your experience continues online.
Join me for a LIVE dedicated post-capture Zoom session, where we’ll delve into assembling, grading, and refining your timelapse sequences. You’ll learn how to process RAW files, manage flicker, enhance movement fluidity, and apply subtle creative touches that elevate your final piece from a simple sequence to a short film of light and emotion.
