Whether you have recently been diagnosed, are supporting someone with Scoliosis, or simply want to learn more, this session will provide practical information, expert insights, and an opportunity to connect with the Scoliosis community.
We’ll explore:
What scoliosis is and how it can effect individuals.
Scoliosis management and the different approaches available.
The role of physiotherapy in Scoliosis management, including how physiotherapy can support you and complement other treatment options.
Scoliosis-specific physiotherapy, with our Specialist Physiotherapist, Marie Batzl, sharing her experience of working with adolescents and adults with Scoliosis. Marie uses principles of the Schroth Method, which can complement bracing, support rehabilitation before and after spinal surgery, and help with pain and injury management.
Bracing and it’s role within the wider management of Scoliosis, with our guest speaker, April Drayton (Specialist Orthotist).
Real experiences and connections, with an opportunity to meet and talk to people living with Scoliosis and share experiences in a supportive environment.
We will finish with an open Q&A session, giving you the chance to ask questions, raise concerns, and find out more about available resources and ongoing support.
