Calling all dads! Join us for some good scran and a chat about your wellbeing.

On the 21st of October 2026, Healthwatch Cumberland, NortHFutures and partners are hosting an event for Dads.

The event will take place from 5:30pm - 7pm in the Riverbank Cafe at People First Conference Centre on Milbourne Street in Carlisle.

What is the event about?

Healthwatch Cumberland published some work in 2025 around Paternal Wellbeing and we don’t want the conversation to stop there. As a result, NortHFutures, a digital health hub of professionals who fund and facilitate health research in North East and North Cumbria, have joined up with us to provide this event for dads in Cumberland.

During the event, we will ask about where support is available, how it might be improved and views around how personal health information is shared and used. It will be a group conversation around these topics to help us understand where gaps in support are, hearing your experiences and providing you with information of how your health information is used in research plus, how to opt out.

Maybe most importantly to you, a complimentary meal of Pie and Mash will be provided to those attending!

What will I be required to do?

We would love if you could attend and chat to us about the topics we will be covering. We want local people to tell us their experiences, ask us questions, all to ultimately improve support for new dads.

You do not have to answer every question and you are free to leave the event at any time.

How to sign up:

On Eventbrite, free tickets will be available and you will receive an email confirmation. All details of the event are included in this webpage and there will be people around welcoming you into the building.

Limited spaces are available due to food being provided.
