Enjoy a relaxed, low pressure creative session playing with colour, art supplies and mark-making. Plus a sweet treat and hot drink!

This event is a relaxing and playful session, which will begin with calming our nervous system and listening to nature sounds and finding our personal mark-making comfort spot.

We will then enjoy exploring a range of different materials, responding to the shape of the sound however feels fun and intuitive for you and building up your confidence and understanding of the materials. Once you find what you enjoy the most, we will take this bit forward onto a new canvas, and create the marks using the materials and moves that you enjoyed the most.

There will be a small break where people can chat and reset and refuel with a cake and drink, before we reimagine the marks into a new composition — having fun rearranging them into a new image, playing with colour, composition and design.

By the end we aim to have you leaving feeling relaxed, creatively nourished and eager to keep playing with whatever art supplies you have at home. This is perfect for people who want to get into being creative, or if you feel in a creative block.

A final point if you're feeling nervous, there is not right or wrong way to creative in this session, you just have to make the marks that feel good to you. You will recieve creative support to help guide you if you feel stuck at any point.
