Join us for a delicious Swahili Breakfast Experience, where the rich flavours, aromas and warm hospitality of the Swahili culture come together around one table as you you listen to the beautiful taarab music.

This is more than just breakfast it’s an opportunity to eat, connect, discover and experience a taste of Swahili culture.

Guests can look forward to a mouth-watering selection of traditional favourites, including:

Mahamri / Mandazi – soft, lightly sweet and beautifully spiced fried bread, perfect with a hot cup of chai.

Chapati – soft, layered flatbread, freshly prepared and perfect for enjoying alongside our savoury dishes.

Mbaazi – comforting pigeon peas cooked in a rich, creamy coconut sauce, a classic Swahili favourite.

Viazi Karai – delicious potatoes coated in a beautifully seasoned batter and fried until golden. Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy inside and packed with flavour.

Samosas – crispy golden pastry filled with a deliciously seasoned savoury filling. The perfect little bite to add some crunch and spice to your breakfast plate.

Vitumbua – soft, fluffy Swahili rice and coconut pancakes with a lightly sweet flavour and beautifully golden outside. A much-loved coastal favourite that pairs perfectly with a warm cup of chai.

Swahili-style eggs and savoury dishes – warming, flavourful and prepared with aromatic spices.

Ukwaju (Tamarind Juice) – a refreshing Swahili favourite made with tamarind, offering a delicious balance of sweet and tangy flavours. Cool, vibrant and refreshing, the perfect drink to complement the spices and flavours of your breakfast.

Chai masala (Tea Masala) – fragrant East African-style tea, served warm and comforting- the perfect accompaniment to a Swahili breakfast.
