Join Pride in North Cumbria this August for fun, inclusive youth activities celebrating diversity, creativity, community and belonging.

Across the programme, young people will take part in activities exploring equality, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, identity, and community.

The aim of the programme is to offer positive summer activities that help young people build confidence, celebrate diversity and think about how local places can become more welcoming and inclusive for everyone.

Sessions and Timings

Thursday 6th August - Global Food

Food Around the World session, where young people can prepare simple dishes, create recipe cards, share food and explore cultures from around the world with more activities.

Thursday 13th August - Disability Rights, Accessibility and Inclusion,

Activities like Barrier Busting, a Disability Rights Timeline, Myth Busting Quiz, and discussions around disability in film and media.

Thursday 20th August - LGBTQ+ Film and Media

Giving young people the chance to explore how LGBTQ+ people and experiences are represented in a safe and supportive space.

Thursday 27th August - Creative Equality Session

Creative activities will include an Equality Graffiti Wall, where young people can add positive messages about diversity, inclusion, accessibility, community and respect, or create their own diversity-themed artwork.
