A spectacular walk taking in the Southern Upland Way with amazing views. This is a challenging walk and must only be attempted by very fit

Up the Valley to Capel Fell

We’ll be getting dropped off at Selcoth Fishery and will take in the views going up the valley before heading up into the hills. Our first summit of the day is Capel Fell via a quick look at the weather station on Sail foot Law.

After a stop for a bite to eat, we’ll be facing back to the town but rather than going straight back we’ll be going for our second summit of the day - Croft Head. This will lead the walk onto the Southen Upland Way and the picturesque walk back into Moffat.

As this is an all day walk, please bring a packed lunch. Be prepared for a strenuous walk and dress appropriately , ready for all weathers.
