The day provides an active physical exploration of the embodied field of how therapist and client move and impress each other. We will focus on how bodily gestalten, the aesthetics of the ground, the atmospheres, the rhythms and body-to-body-communications can come to live in supervision.

With movements and other creative ways, we will focus on the aesthetics of the ground, bodily rhythms and body-to-body-communications. Various ways of moving such as speed, direction and distances are introduced to capture different sensations about implicit body-to-body-communications and to support an awareness and understanding of traumatic processes in the field. Walking through bodily spaces will guide us to explore our client’s bodily symptoms and how bodies might speak in their somatic symptoms.

Julianne’s metaphors of ‘the living body as an orchestra/band’, ‘widening the field’ or ‘holes of emotional neglect’ combined with short exercises and reflections with a partner and the bigger group will lead us through the day.

Julianne wants to provide a safe and respectful space for exploration of these processes using exercises, experiential work, short demonstrations and small group works. Participants will have the opportunity to be both supervisee and supervisor.
