About This Event

What do we leave behind when we move to a new place – and what do we carry with us, physically and emotionally, wherever we land? Colin Grant , director of WritersMosaic, has travelled the country talking to people who have come to Britain to forge a new life. Joined by poet Clementine Burnley , who migrated from Cameroon to Scotland, and Polish Business Manager and comedian Joanna Surowiec , who lives here in Cheltenham, they reflect on identity, belonging and the emotional cost of leaving home. This is a chance to listen to Britain in all its richness and complexity. There will be a book signing after this event.
