Join us at Gladstone’s Library for an enchanting afternoon with storyteller CORRYN, Spinner of Stories, Weaver of Worlds. Following her sold-out December 2024 performance of Tales for Midwinter and the Festive Season, Mellt the Storyteller returns to Gladstone’s Library in her new incarnation as CORRYN, this time to enthral us with Magical Tales for the Season of Mists. CORRYN invites us to join her on a mythic journey into Autumn with her major new piece, A Walk In The Woods, which will be premiered at this event. She will also be bringing us the poignant plight of the Moon In Chains, the poetic tale of The Maiden of the White Vine, as well as her version of an intriguing yet little-known fairytale, and more… This event will run for approximately 2 hours and will include an interval halfway with drinks available to purchase. You are welcome to join us for a post-event two-course dinner in our Food for Thought restaurant. You can do this by purchasing the event + dinner ticket below! Please note: this event is for ages 16+ and all stories will be told in English. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ About CORRYN A native of North Wales, CORRYN draws her inspiration from the legends of her homeland as well as from further shores, from her own encounters with the natural world and its stories, from modern life with all its contradictions and intrigue, and from snippets overheard in passing which yield unexpected treasure. Her storytelling style is theatrical, innovative and varied. She has worked in collaboration with other performers, adding to her telling with dance, physical theatre, drumming, music, song, spoken chant and mime, and she likes to push the boundaries of her craft in whatever new ways offer themselves to her. In 2017, she wrote, directed and performed in, Wondrous! The Magical Women of Welsh Myth at Theatr Clwyd, a four-act presentation of all the female characters (mortal and otherwise) from The Four Branches of the Mabinogi, where she was joined by a cast and crew of thirty who brought their many and varied talents to the production. Her tales, though predominantly prose, are woven through with poetic elements and she particularly likes to draw on characters who live in the shadows or events which slip by almost unnoticed. Her mission is to spin these Tales of Mystery, Magic and Wonder into life, to weave the beauty and enduring wisdom of story around her audience. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Ticket Information Entry to performance: £15 Entry to performance plus two-course post-event dinner: £35 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
