As the summer harvests wind down, this is the moment to set your plot up for the months ahead. This workshop is all about keeping fresh, homegrown veg on your table every month of the year.

Lucy opens the day with an introduction to heirloom varieties. Then we show you what to sow in September, how succession sowing keeps your harvests rolling with no hungry gaps, and the propagation tips and tricks that make all the difference as the days get shorter.

You’ll sow your own seed tray in the polytunnel with us beside you, and take it home to grow on.

Good to know

We’ll spend most of the day in our polytunnel, so dress for the weather. That means layers, sturdy shoes, and something waterproof if the sky looks moody - although we will be mostly under cover! Tunnels can be properly warm on a sunny day too. Please tell us about any dietary needs or access requirements when you book.
