An afternoon of live sound art in Tramore Valley Park

What can we hear beneath our feet, around us, and above us?

CLUAS 2026 is an annual celebration of live sound art presented by the KinShip Project, inviting artists and audiences to listen differently to the environments we inhabit. This year’s performance considers three interconnected spaces: the subterranean, the ground and the aerial.

Five invited sound artists—Danny McCarthy, Mick O’Shea, Harry Moore, Seán Taylor and Craig Patrick—will come together for a 60-minute unplugged, improvised sound composition, responding loosely to these themes and to the particular environment of Tramore Valley Park.

The performance invites us to imagine the park beyond its visible surface: to listen for the hidden worlds beneath the ground, the life and activity that shares the earth with us, and the atmospheric spaces above us shaped by weather, birdsong, scent, signals and movement.

The Subterranean

Beneath the surface are worlds of water, microbes, worms, bacteria and mycelial networks. The subterranean also holds the traces of extraction, burial and dumping. What happens when we listen to what lies beneath?

The Ground

The ground is where we build, gather and make our homes, but it is also shared with countless other forms of life. How might we encounter the ground as a place of reciprocity, connection and co-creation?

The Aerial

Above the ground is an equally inhabited world of weather, flight, birdsong, scent, molecules, signals and atmospheric movement. What might become audible when we pay attention to these airborne encounters?

CLUAS 2026 offers an opportunity to slow down and listen—to the park, to the artists, and to the often-unnoticed sounds and spaces that surround us.

Getting There

By car, Tramore Valley Park is accessed via the South Link Road. There are 3 car parks within the site.

The park is accessible by public transport. Bus routes 206, 219, and 223 stop at South Douglas Road, from which a short walk down Half Moon Lane leads to the park.
