Exploring LNG exportation and importation impacts on communities in the United States. Q&A with US and Irish LNG activists

The Irish government plan to build a new floating Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) terminal in County Clare, but what does that really mean for people and for the environment?

Community Connections Cork will screen Gaslit, a multiple award-winning documentary exploring the impacts LNG exportation and importation has on communities living near LNG in the United States and Europe.

We will hear directly from members of the impacted communities featured in the film from Louisiana, Texas and Germany; along with Irish Activists from Stop Shannon LNG Coalition (https://stopshannonlng.ie/), and FutureProof Clare (https://www.futureproofclare.ie/).

There will be opportunities to ask questions of all speakers.

This is a free event, with light refreshments available. Any donations towards costs or in support of campaigns are welcome on the night, but at your discretion.

Please contact CommunityConnectionsCork@gmail.com with any questions about the event. Places are limited, so do let us know if you can't make it on the night
