About This Event

The Butter Museum in Blackpool will host a complimentary afternoon celebration of Shandon’s culinary and cultural heritage on Friday 14 August 2026, beginning at 2pm. Entitled “Taste of Shandon: Bells, Bread, Butter, Beef... Samosas and Sweets!”, the event offers samples of local specialities, including freshly churned butter, crusty bread, and spiced beef, as well as samosas and traditional sweets. Visitors can observe demonstrations of butter-making and other crafts, while the museum’s exhibits provide context on the area’s dairy and food traditions. The atmosphere is informal and unhurried, allowing ample time to chat with local producers and explore the historic Shandon neighbourhood. Admission is free, and all tastings are included.
