Join Slow Food East Cork for a special screening of The Nut Farmer of Glastonbury, followed by a live discussion with director Elsa Kent, Andrew Kent, the farmer featured in the film, Darina Allen, and Chris Troy from Future Orchard Cork.

The evening begins at 6.30 pm with tea and biscuits. The screening starts promptly at 7.00 pm.

This intimate 20-minute documentary follows Andrew Kent as he embarks on a remarkable new chapter after more than 40 years of conventional farming, planting thousands of hazelnut and walnut trees on the edge of Glastonbury. Told through the eyes of his daughter, filmmaker Elsa Kent, the film explores farming, family, resilience and the possibilities of regenerative agriculture.

After the film, Elsa and Andrew will be joined by Darina Allen and Chris Troy for a conversation exploring agroforestry, growing nuts in Ireland, biodiversity and the future of farming, followed by audience questions.
