MEETING POINT in car park opposite Reginald Road South, NOT main entrance.
Hear about the work of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and stories of some of the men and women that are commemorated in this Cemetery.
Derby (Nottingham Road) Cemetery contains 194 First World War burials and 146 from the Second World War. There is a war graves plot of 87 burials from both wars, the rest of the graves are scattered throughout the cemetery.
The tour lasts approx. 90 mins and covers about 1600 metres on paths and grass with uneven ground and slopes.
Allowances need to be made if any burials are taking place during the tour.
There is parking available on-site . There are no toilet facilities available after 4pm weekdays and at weekends and bank holidays. Please bring water if required.
Please dress appropriately for the weather and wear suitable footwear.
Well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the cemetery.
Please note there can be last minute cancellations. This can be due to various reasons including illness, site issues and weather. We will email you as soon as we can, but this could include the morning of the tour, so please check your emails prior to leaving for the tour.
