Derby Sacred Circle is an intentional time & space designed for pausing, reflecting, and reconnecting with ourselves and the natural world.
We invite you to join us for our second Derby Sacred Circle—an intentional space designed for pausing, reflecting, and reconnecting with ourselves and the natural world. This isn't about complex rituals or getting it right; it’s about making time to be present.
We meet under the Sturgeon Moon, named honoring the time of year when large sturgeon fish were historically caught in North America’s Great Lakes. Also referred to as the Corn Moon, Grain Moon, or Red Moon due to the reddish hue it can take on in the summer haze, and often considered the last Full Moon of the Summer.
Inspired by the energy, we will be making some noise! We will bring some instruments, and feel free to bring your own. No musical ability needed, this is more about the joy and release we can get through sound and vibrations!
🌿 What to Expect
This circle is open to all genders and requires absolutely no prior experience. We simply ask for an open heart and a spirit of respect. Our philosophy is simple: Take what resonates, and leave what doesn’t.
· Guided Meditation: A group practice to ground our energy and quiet the mind.
· Sharing Circle: You will be invited to share your own thoughts and reflections, or simply hold space and listen to others.
· Nourishment: Warm herbal tea and light snacks will be provided to keep us grounded and cozy.
🕯️ What Does 'Sacred' Mean?
To us, sacred is synonymous with intentional. It means we are carving out a dedicated moment in time to honor ourselves and the environment. It is a space of safety, warmth, and genuine human connection.
🎒 What to Bring
The magic happens regardless of the temperature, so please come prepared!
Comfort: Please bring a chair or mat, otherwise you can sit/lean against the logs.
Warmth: Bring extra layers and a blanket. It can still get cool in the evenings.
Weather Readiness: Anything else the forecast dictates (umbrellas, waterproofs). We have a shelter we can put up if needed, and the trees provide some natural protection. If it's been raining, the ground can be muddy so walking boots are reccomended.
🗓️ Essential Details
Location: You can meet us at the notice board in the main car park (A6 entrance) at 7pm, or go directly to the circle space. Full details to be provided by email before the event.
Investment: £17
Peace of Mind: We love the wild, but safety comes first. A full refund is guaranteed if the event is cancelled due to storms, or strong winds.
Come as you are. Leave a little lighter. 🌕✨
