The 'Ripen Your Brand / Part 5. Type Matters' workshop is set for 24 November 2026 at Luminary Vision in Derby. This hands-on workshop will focus on how to choose and use fonts effectively to reflect a brand. Ticket prices range from £35.00 to £200.00.
A hands-on workshop to understand how to choose and use fonts to reflect your brand (not all fonts are made the same!)
In this practical workshop experienced brand designer Cherry Anderson will share the steps a professional designer goes through when choosing (and using) fonts for a brand identity. The workshop is aimed at small businesses, sole-traders and comms creators who aren't professionally trained in design.
A designer for 25 years, Cherry Anderson has created for high street retailers, global organisations, universities and small businesses. She now specialises in supporting purpose-led and sustainable organisations. By sharing her knowledge and expertise she will take your businesses to the next level, bringing you credibility, authenticity and visilibity – making the world a better place through stunning design!
In this 2 hour session, we will explore how to select fonts that reflect your brand personailty and how to pair them together. We'll explore where to find them, and how to recognise well-designed, accessible fonts and how to use them across platforms.
And then we'll put it into practice – you’ll work live together whilst Cherry circulates to give one-to-one guidance.
