Join us for Zen meditation. No experience needed, just sitting quietly, following the breath and being. Beginners most welcome.

We are a small, friendly group of Zen practitoners led by Sensei Daniel Kōjin Gallagher, an ordained Soto Zen teacher.

We sit two periods of zazen (sitting meditation), followed by tea and a Dharma talk, Council Circle or ceremony.

During the second period of sitting, private interviews are available for anyone who would like guidance with their meditation practice.

Kojin Sensei teaches shikantaza (just sitting) and kōan practice.

No experience is necessary. Beginners are most welcome.

There is limited, free parking on site. We are a seven-minute walk from the Duffield train station and a four-minute walk from the bus stop. We are easily accessible from Derby or Belper and beyond.

All events are free of charge. Donations are gratefully accepted.
