About This Event

Mapping Ireland’s Dereliction will feature a visual showcase of dereliction documentation at Highlanes Gallery on September 19, 2026.

Our guest speaker, Rob Cross will be giving a visual showcase of his work documenting and mapping dereliction across Ireland.

With a particular emphasis on a number of buildings in Drogheda. The presentation will explore how data, aerial mapping, colourisation and social media storytelling can reveal the scale, character and heritage value of vacant and derelict buildings.

Rob will share examples from www.DerelictSites.com, including flyover mapping and visual case studies, and discuss how these tools can support public awareness, local authority action and a more informed conversation about reuse, conservation and place.

Description supplied by the event organiser.
