Your pelvic health is about much more than doing pelvic floor exercises.
Your core is more than your abdominal muscles.
And there is no single approach to movement that works for every woman.
Restore, Rebuild & Thrive is a progressive 10-week movement and education programme designed to help women understand their bodies, develop pelvic floor and core function, build strength and feel more confident in movement.
Led by senior teachers Melissa Curtis and Lisa Phillips, specialising in women's health, Pilates, yoga and pre and postnatal movement, the programme brings together Pilates, yoga, functional strength, mobility, breathwork and pelvic health education.
Whether you have experienced pregnancy and birth or never been pregnant, this course is designed to meet you where you are. Women preparing to return to high impact, intense training or competitive sport as well as those wishing to deepen their yoga or pilates practice.
Ideal for yoga and pilates or any movement teachers to develop their understanding of pelvic floor, to build confidence in teaching effective core cues and support women in their classes.
The common thread is not motherhood. It is your body, your health and your desire to feel stronger and more confident.
A PROGRESSIVE APPROACH TO WOMEN'S HEALTHWomen's bodies change throughout life.
Pregnancy and birth can affect the pelvic floor, abdominal wall, posture and movement patterns.
Hormonal changes in all women can influence strength, bone health, recovery and how we experience our bodies.
This is why we take a progressive, adaptable approach.
Rather than giving everyone the same exercises, we teach principles that you can apply to your own body.
You will explore how the diaphragm, abdominal wall, pelvic floor, spine, pelvis and hips work together as part of your core system.
You will learn about breathing, pressure, alignment, load, strength and movement, then progressively apply those principles to more functional exercises.
The aim is not simply to work harder, it is to develop capacity, coordination, strength, resilience and confidence through specifically designed movement.
EVERY CLASS INCLUDESPELVIC FLOOR & CORE
Every session includes dedicated pelvic floor and core work, with exercises progressing throughout the programme.
We explore both strength, stretching and relaxation, coordination, endurance and how the pelvic floor responds to different movements and loads. Props will be used to increase challenge, provide feedback, support alignment or make movement more accessible and effective.
FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH
Develop strength that transfers into everyday life using progressive resistance and functional movement patterns.
PILATES & YOGA
Pilates brings precision, control and progressive strengthening.
Yoga contributes mobility, breath awareness, body awareness and restorative movement.
Together they create a varied and intelligent approach to women's movement.
EDUCATION
We explain the reasoning behind the exercises so you understand what you are doing and why.
You will learn about pelvic floor function, pressure management, core coordination, movement patterns, strength and ways to adapt exercises to your individual needs.
RESTORATIVE RELAXATION
Every session finishes with a restorative relaxation because recovery is not simply about strengthening.
Learning to release unnecessary tension, breathe effectively and make space for rest is an important part of overall wellbeing. Your nervous system will thank you.
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?This programme is for women at different stages of life, with different bodies, experiences and movement goals.
You may be:
