Dreampool is a collective dreaming ritual combining immersive sound, dream recording, and artistic making. Drawing on ancient traditions of collective dreaming, you are invited to come together to explore the space between dreaming and waking.

As we approach Samhain, a time when the boundaries between worlds become thinner, you will be introduced to dreamwork and the role of Oneirogenic herbs in dreaming practices, before the opening of a mugwort tea ritual.

You are then guided into the imaginal landscape of Dreampool through an immersive deep-listening experience inspired by Samhain.

Specially composed by Efa O'Neill, this composition blends ambient electronic sound with spoken guidance, marking the passage into and back from the dreaming landscape. Drawing on fragments of voice, field recordings, frequencies, and atmospheric textures, the piece creates a space for reflection, imagination and inner listening.

Afterwards, you are invited to record and further explore your dreams through journalling and creating a Dreamzine with collage.

If you feel comfortable, you are welcome to contribute a vocal sample, reading a line from your dream recording to be used in a Dreampool musical composition. These acts of recording allow individual dreams to become part of a growing collection of Irish dreams.

Each Dreampool gathering contributes to an evolving constellation of live events, musical compositions, artistic research, and visual publication, where individual dreams accumulate through collective ritual and recording into an ever-growing story of the Irish dreaming landscape. The 40-minute sound journey will be recorded live to be contributed to the Dreampool collection.
