The Stitch & Fix Club hosts a relaxed, drop-in textile upcycling workshop on 24 October 2026 at The Amulet Gallery in Dublin. Participants bring garments for repair, alteration, or transformation while Tamara, a textile artist, provides guidance on hand sewing and machine use for small projects.
Mend, Make & Meet is a relaxed, drop-in community space where clothes, textiles and creative ideas get a second chance.
Mend, Make & Meet is a relaxed, drop-in textile upcycling workshop where old clothes and forgotten fabrics get a chance at a new life.
Bring along a garment that needs a little repair, an alteration, or simply a bit of imagination! Tamara, textile artist and jack of all trades, will be on hand to help you mend, stitch, alter, customise or completely transform your textiles.
We’ll mainly be working with hand sewing, with a sewing machine available for small alterations and projects. Turn an old pair of jeans into a bag, transform shirts into something new, add a patch, fix a tear or simply learn a few useful sewing skills.
Some larger repairs or alterations may need to be taken home and completed afterwards, but the aim is always to share skills, ideas and possibilities.
This is not a formal sewing class — it’s a space to drop in, make, learn, chat and connect.
Come with a garment, a creative idea or simply curiosity. No experience necessary. Donations are welcome and help us keep the workshop accessible and community-led.
Repair it. Reimagine it. Give it another life.
