It’s Not What It SEAMS is a free exhibition by surrealist and fantasy artist Anita Nagy at the Edna O’Brien Library Gallery in Scariff.

The exhibition features highly textured acrylic paintings filled with floral motifs and a distinctive technique that creates the illusion of embroidered tablecloths and lace. The body of work pays tribute to the artist’s late mother, who practised embroidery, while celebrating the beauty and cultural importance of textile traditions.

The exhibition continues until Saturday 17 October 2026 at the Edna O’Brien Library Gallery, Mountshannon Road, Scariff.

Free to attend.

Official organiser: Clare Arts Office in conjunction with Edna O’Brien Library.
