On this tour you will discover and explore Viking settlement, Monastic expansion, Georgian development, Tenement decay and or post-Independence redevelopment.
Alongside the areas rich history in agriculturally based activities, links to the once vibrant Linen Industry, British Occupation, Irish Rebellion and Irish Independence.
We will uncover notions of crime and punishment, access to health care and the emergence of state based social welfare activites.
So, whether you're a first-time visitor, a seasoned traveller or an interested local you will gain a deeper appreciation of how Dublin's Northsides role in shaping modern Ireland.
Please be aware that this is a 2 hour walking tour that traversing over various surfaces so please make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and moderate levels of fitness are required.
