About This Event

A Family Fused Glass Workshop is scheduled for 2pm on 27 August 2026 at the Learning Centre, Durham Cathedral. Attendees will create their own fused glass panel with local artist Rita Griskonyte taking inspiration from the cathedral's architecture for a fee of £10.

Create your own fused glass panel in a hands-on workshop with local glass artist, Rita Griskonyte.Take inspiration from Durham Cathedral's beautiful stained glass windows, and use glass mosaic pieces and frets to shape a decorative panel. Rita will take it to be fired in the kiln, and you'll be able to pick it up around 10 days after the event. This activity takes place in Durham Cathedral's Learning Centre. Please ask a member of staff for directions. Due to the size of the room, all attendees need a ticket. Minimum age: 6 years. As there will be small pieces of glass to work with, sadly younger siblings will not be able to attend.
