About This Event

On 16 November 2026 at The Mint House in Pevensey, storyteller Viktor Wynd presents tales from his new book of Dark Fairy Tales covering stories from around the world.

Master storyteller Viktor Wynd tells some of his favourite stories form his new book of Dark Fairy Tales

This evening Mr Wynd, the proprietor of London's eponymous (nay infamous) Museum of Curiosities, Fine Art and UnNatural History, tells us some of his favourite tales heard from around the world from cannibalistic Germans to disgusting, macabre and delightful stories from Borneo. Learn about the birth of leeches, the reason mosquitos are always buzzing in human ears, strange babies and something truly terrible about bedbugs that might give you nightmares.

Fascinated by traditional fairy tales, his repertoire includes tales from The Brothers Grimm, The Arabian Nights, Scandanavia, Russia, Italy, France, Ireland, Africa, Papua New Guinea and North America - so far.
