About This Event

A workshop called Basic Sewing: A Lifetime Skill will be held on 3 October 2026 at Out Of The Blue Drill Hall in Edinburgh. This three-hour session aims to teach basic sewing skills, promoting sustainability and encouraging participants to engage in sewing and mending.

Do you have 3 hours to spare to learn a life skill that can help make the planet greener? Basic sewing skills is an integral aspect of our culture. This workshop is designed to quickly walk you through the basics, build your confidence and get you started on the exciting journey of sewing and mending! The small workshop size ensures valuable one-to-one teacher and participant time, allowing maximum engagement and assistance. It is an easy to follow class with clear simple instructions.
